Are you near St. Louis? I would recommend the community college. It provides an associates program at three different campuses. The tuition is one of the lowest in the area. Most hospitals will employ an RN with an associates. Hospitals also offer tuition assistance with employment. There are also web based programs for associates to bachelors and associates to Nurse Practitioner degrees. In addition, the scholar shop underwrites student loans for students without previous bachelor degrees.

I am very much interested in becoming an RN, but I've already began my nursing pre-reqs. at a school that I feel is way too expensive, and so I may have to begin again somewhere else. I really feel stuck, and I'm wondering if I should stay at the school, or begin at another one. What types of scholarships would be available to me?
